Themes include access control, identity, privacy, web of trust, and integrating security with workflow over web services using the REST Workflow Controller. One of the guiding principles is that security must be designed to support collaboration.

The draft DTD for the REST-ful security manager is located at:

Implementation

An open-source, REST-ful implementation governed by this DTD will be released shortly.

Pending issues with the implementation include:

1. Handshaking between the client and the server to establish secure authentication over unsecure communication lines.
2. Porting the implementation over an open source DBMS, e.g., MySQL.
3. Establishment of one or more recommended security schemes, include documented examples.
